Ulog # 149 First Baker Bakeshop San Jose Nueva Ecija, Philippines- Silvanas
Coming from a trip from Baler we passed the City of San Jose, Nueva Ecija. One of our colleagues who's from there suggested that we would pass by this shop named First Baker Bakeshop. So we did.
They were selling different kinds of bread but we came here for something else.
We ordered this dessert called Silvanas. This a frozen cookie with a layer of butter cream in between 2 nutty meringue wafers. One of my colleagues even bought 10 pieces to bring home because it was a lot cheaper to buy it there compared to our place. One box costs 130 Php thats around 2.50 USD and the resellers in our place sell it for 180 Php or 3.46 USD.
As soons as I opened it I could see how could they look like. One box consists of 15 pieces of Silvanas inside.
As soon as I bit it the wafers were very crunchy and had a nutty taste. The butter cream filling flavor was very rich. Imagine combining those 2 flavors. It really tasted heavenly that I could eat an entire box in one day hahaha.
