Sometimes The Universe Just Tells You NO!
Starting to wonder about my plan to ride my motorcycle through the winter. I'm one of those people that feels that if everything seems to be working against you on something, maybe it's the universes way of telling you not to do it. Just leave it alone, and don't push the issue.
That seems to be the case with riding my motorcycle through the winter. Up until about a week before Christmas everything was going swimmingly. The weather was unseasonably mild for that time of year, temperature was acceptable, and I felt pretty good about riding. Actually quiet enjoyed it. Nothing like a brisk ride in cold weather to wake you up and get you started before work!
Then it seems it's one thing after another affecting my decision to ride. First I get a terrible cold that takes close to three weeks to recover from. Just when I'm ready to ride again we get a decent snow storm. This is followed by a dead battery. Another snow storm, blizzard actually. I fix the battery issue and then lay the bike down on some black ice snapping the clutch lever off the handlebars. The ice issue was even bizarre. It didn't seem cold enough for ice, and as far as gentle accidents are concerned it was almost like I gently fell to the ground as the bike and I slid across an empty parking lot. I didn't even get a bruise. If that's not telling me to slow my roll, I don't know what is!
I'm a firm believer in that theory. I've even walked away from major business decisions when it seems plagued by a weird series of bad luck. I'm not talking about giving up, I'm talking about a sign from the universe that screams, "Go away, change direction, this isn't for you!" Almost as if the universe is either leading you away from or moving you towards your preferred destination in life. IDK.. just saying.
So, I'm waiting on the parts to fix my motorcycle. Once I get it fixed, I'm not sure how much I'm going to push the issue. It's February now, and warmer weather will be on the way soon. I'll just play it by ear, and see what the universe says :)
Spring weather and warmer temperatures can't get here soon enough!
